The Game

Each seventeen-week season in the NFL is full of ups and downs, wins and losses, and a great deal of emotion. This season includes six games against the division rivals of the team, as well as several inter conference and interdivisional games. Generally, the season starts during the first full week of September on a Thursday, otherwise known as the Thursday after Labour Day, and then it runs every week until late December. In some situations, it goes on until early January.

After the regular season, there are six teams chosen from each conference that will play in the NFL playoffs, which is a single elimination tournament holding twelve teams. Everything that is done in the preseason, during the season, in the playoffs and everything in between is simply working towards what will happen in the Superbowl. Millions of people around the world watch this unfold each and every year.
