Super Bowl XLIII

Considering it is based around one of America’s favorite pastimes, it is only fitting that millions of people would be watching on February 1st, 2009, for Super Bowl XLIII. The Super Bowl is literally the coming together of the two greatest teams of the season, and many NFC and AFC teams have seen the Super Bowl more than once. This year, it was the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Arizona Cardinals. Pittsburgh won the day with a 4 point lead over Arizona, coming in at 27 to 23.

Held at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, this year’s Super Bowl was not without its usual flare, with a half time show featuring Bruce Springsteen, as well as the famous ommercials that are introduced during the game. This year’s ratings were some of the highest ever, with an average viewing audience of 98.7 million viewers, making this the most viewed super bowl in history.
